Liudvikas Buklys raises ontological questions, evades fixed interpretations, and piques derailing paradoxes through open-ended works. They range in media from video and photography to plans or re-circulated objects. Many of them could be called studies. Yet they are not necessarily studies to be later realized as something else, but could perhaps be thought of instead as studies to be further studied, which carry stories to be recounted and re-circulated. In that way, Buklys creates prompts. His is an ongoing practice through which proposals are fluidly generative.
